MJ Knobe, Executive Director MJ has served as Executive Director of the South Dakota Lions Foundation for 5 years. She is a member of the Sioux Falls Downtown Lions Club and serves on several committees and the Board of Directors. Her accomplishments in Lions include the Proud Lion Award and a Melvin Jones Fellow. MJ serves as vice president of the North America Conference of Lions Foundations. NACLF provides education and training for Lions Foundation and Eye Banks. MJ enjoys her Photography Business and is an active volunteer in the community. Prior to Lions, MJ was Nutrition Director for Senior Citizen Services, Community Development for Good Samaritan and Purchasing. |
Barbara Armagno, Administrative Assistant I’m the youngest of 4 of a Military family. I grew up in Oklahoma until my father retired; then spent most of my teen and adult life in Southern California. I was fortunate at a young at to travel all over the States, Europe, and Australia. After graduating with a degree in Education I was able to move to Australia and teach for three years. I lived in the Goldfields, an active Gold mine, really enjoyed the people and the country. After moving back to the States in 2005, I went to teach in Northern California. The Bay Area is beautiful. Missing my family I moved back to the Midwest where I started to work for the Boys & Girls club of Central Iowa. I got my first taste of non-profit and wanted to do more. I accepted a position as Administrative Assistant with the South Dakota Lions Foundation. Working with MJ, the Board and all the Lions is very rewarding. I look forward to a long life with the Lions.
