Eyeglass Collection
The Eyeglass Collection Program is a statewide project with hundreds of collection points across the state of South Dakota. Good quality, used eyeglasses are collected at stores, businesses, churches and other locations. This program provides used eyeglasses to South Dakota doctors (Voah) who travel to Mexico and Jamaica. Eyeglasses are also sent to Lions International and other groups for distribution in over-seas programs.

Feature Story
Harvey was devastated to learn that he has Macular Degeneration. Eye care specialists advised him he is losing his sight. He had been an avid reader buy no longer could see the text clearly enough to read his local newspaper. His wife Dorothy would read to him every night.

The Tea Lions Club contacted the South Dakota Lions Foundation for help with specialized equipment to enlarge the text. "Now he can read it to himself and when I get home from work, we can do things together," said Harvey's wife Dorothy.
